Rui P. Andrade's 'All Lovers Go To Heaven' is a subtle masterpiece, a reluctant, albeit obvious break-up album. the Portuguese composer's mix of low-frequency meditations, story-telling and whooshing noise conveys an ever-expanding sense of heaviness and anxiety. this is what breaking up feels like inside one's head; memories and quotes float by, but there is no anger. there is only purposeless emptiness, possibly endless, seemingly unbearable.
